Who we are

We are a group of local volunteers dedicated to promoting and celebrating the rich cultural diversity of Byron Bay Shire. We aim to spread understanding and compassion within our community. We organise events including music, art, dance, food, films and workshops from multicultural artists residing in the region.

What we do

Byron Bay Harmony Group has been organising events and a yearly harmony day festival since 2006 in Byron Bay and surrounding areas. The Byron Harmony Day festival is a very popular family event.

Why we do it

The region of Byron Bay consists of a vast range of diverse travellers and locals who bring with them their wisdom, cultures and knowledge. Our projects attempt to coordinate and present various celebrations within Byron Shire incorporating performances, displays and other activities which celebrate the cultural diversity of our community.

When and where

We currently host our events in the heart of Byron Bay promoting peace and harmony. Keep your eye out on our events page for specific dates. If you would like to learn more about Harmony day visit the Government’s website
